DEADWOOD TOWN COUNCIL GOES TO WORK

The future of the Deadwood Marshals now rests in the very capable hands of the Deadwood town council. This group of caring folks have come together to help make the deadwood marshals a bigger, better, and more successful organization.  They will meet after each monthly shoot at Deadwood to discuss ways to improve things and put those ideas to work.

DEADWOOD MARSHALS DO WELL AT 17th ANNUAL TRAILHEAD

The Texas Historical Shootist Society has been holding one of Cowboy Actions Shooting’s best shoots every year for the last 17 years.  Every year the number of Deadwood Marshal’s attending it grows and grows.  This year there were approximately 177 shooters from all over the country.  Out of the 177, 13 were Deadwood Marshalls.  This is how they faired:  Cajun Sheriff 10th place overall, Red River Rudy 17th place – 1st in Duelist.  Big Meaux 21st place, Marshal “Big Daddy” Jenks 32nd place, Taco Bill 35th place, La Cuz 36th place – 1st place Men’s Silver Senior, Cookie 57th place, Dakota Steel 61st place, Barkeep 80th place, Irish Pat 101st place, Newt Call 128th place, Hanna Call 153rd place, Dee Steele 158th place.  Congratulations to all especially Cajun Sheriff for his top 10 finish, Red River Rudy for 1st place in Duelist, and La Cuz for his 1st place in Men’s Silver Senior
